UKRI – SEEING THE UNIVERSE

STFC’s Seeing the Universe in all its light roadshow, in partnership with the Royal Astronomical Society, supported the UK astronomy community showcasing the ‘big telescopes family’ – both ground and space based – focusing on the UK science expertise and economic benefits.

The exhibition featured scale models of the European Southern Observatory (ESO) ground based Very Large Telescope (VLT), Atacama Large Millimetre Array (ALMA), space based astronomy missions Herschel and the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), an 8metre interactive wall, an SKA interactive exhibit, a telescope control desk, infra-red astronomy, adaptive optics and Micro Autonomous Robots interactive exhibits.
